THE GAME PUTS HIP HOP STARS ON ‘DON’T SHOOT’ TRACK FOR MIKE BROWN TRIBUTE
West Coast rapper, The Game released a tribute to the shooting of Michael Brown titled ‘Don’t Shoot’. The song features Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, Diddy, Fabolous, Wale, DJ Khalad, Yo Gotti, Swizz Beatz, Curren$y, Problem, King Pharaoh, and TGT (Tyrese, Genuwine, and Tank).
The Game told Rolling Stone Magazine…..“The issues in Ferguson really hit home for me, and I feel compelled to use my musical platform to address this. I am a black man with kids of my own that I love more than anything, and I cannot fathom a horrific tragedy like Michael Brown’s happening to them. This possibility has shaken me to my core. That is why this song must be made and why it was so easy for so many of my friends to come together and unite against the injustice.” He also told Rolling Stone Magazine that the Michael Brown tragedy hit home, not only with what happened in Ferguson, but the police brutality that’s going on in the streets.
The Game admits that is was very easy to get everyone on the same track because everyone’s Heart is in the same place.
All proceeds from the iTunes sales of the song will go to the Justice for Mike Brown GoFundMe account.
